LOCATION: At Kampung Cacar in the town of Paka, Terengganu. Driving distance: 10 km north of Kerteh town, 120 km north of Kuantan, or 110 km south of Kuala Terengganu.
DESCRIPTION: The resort is set amidst the rustic setting of village houses of Kg Cacar in Paka. It is fronting a non-descript and deserted beach. The view of Pulau Tenggol some distance away, as well as fisherman boats at the nearby river mouth can be enjoyed from here.
There are 70 rooms, a bungalow and 9 suites in the resort, each overlooks either the beach, the pool or the villages amongst the swaying coconut trees. The room is quite nice with all the expected modern amenities. Not to mention the room is tastefully equipped with timber-strip floor. Although, I often hear about the niggling problem of plumbing which goes to show that the resort definitely needs to step up on its upkeep.
The facilities at the resort include a business centre, a basic gym, a swimming pool and wading pool with pool chairs, jacuzzi, etc. The resort's only restaurant here is Gelombang Café, decidedly reputable and popular among the resident of the oil towns of Kerteh and Paka. The restaurant offers choices of indoor, outdoor and pool-side dining.
Room rates are usually quoted below RM200++.
