LOCATION:
On the northern end of Long Beach (Pantai Pasir Panjang) in Perhentian Kecil Island.

DESCRIPTION:
A trendy resort, although it fails to live up to my expectation. Situated at the end of Long Beach, reputed to be Perhentian Kecil's most happening beach. Facilities include standard double rooms (can fit in 4 people) equipped with air-conditioning, balcony, hot water, etc There are no TV or telephone provided but most mobile networks are available here. Outside, it has a beach bar, a dive centre, a beach volleyball court, dining hut, etc.

Activities are abound here. The resort hosts night shows such as Hula Dance, Fire Dance, etc. During the day, the beach hosts the highest number of sunbathers and frolickers. For the initiated, the house reef is an excellent spot for snorkeling, though it may get too deep and visibility could become poor. Most parts of the beach are free from coral reef, offering good swimming. Ask the resort people if anyone would bring you for a 30-min jungle trekking to the other side of Perhentian Kecil island where you could watch the sunset.

I paid RM350 for a 3D/2N package. That includes includes boat transfer from Kuala Besut jetty, 3 meals per day, 2 snorkeling trips, BBQ night, triple/quad sharing room. That kind of price is normally available during travel fair promotions because I noticed the package rates being advertised online are usually much higher.

MY VERDICT:
A tad over-priced, but still a good resort for an island vacation.
