LOCATION: From Kuantan city, drive north for about 30-45 minutes until you see the sign into Impiana Resort Cherating. Prior to this, you will be passing by Holiday Villa Cherating. Impiana Resort Cherating is actually adjacent to Suria Cherating Beach Resort.
DESCRIPTION: A meticulously-designed resort, which is rich in intricate Malay architecture of wood-thatched ceiling panels, sharp triangular roofing and Lanai-style balconies. The lobby is indeed a good preview of what is in store for visitors - with airy space opening, infinity fountains that blends into the beautiful Cherating beach.
The rooms are very well appointed with simple yet atypical design. No-fuss poster beds are adjoined with mosquito nets for added elegance. Most rooms offer a decent view of the beach. It goes without saying that there are air-conditioning, attached bathroom, mini bar, IDD telephone, TV, mini fridge and coffee-making facility in every room.
The pool is quite large and nicely landscaped. The are two main F&B outlets here - namely Kedai Kopi (or "coffee shop" in English) and the Impian Court. Recreational facilities are pretty much expected - outdoor jacuzzi, child's playground, gym, tennis courts, game room and water sport activity centre.
Impiana Resort's luxury does not come cheap. The lowest priced unit is a Deluxe room which starts at RM180/night, and a Superior Deluxe ones go for a little more.
