LOCATION: On the main road from Port Dickson town towards Teluk Kemang town.
DESCRIPTION: The Corus hotel chain management took over the resort some years ago. When I was first here, the hotel was known as Delta Paradise Bay Resort.
An extensively huge family resort fronting the beach of Teluk Kemang. The lobby provides an excellent view of the man-made lagoon which is quite the landmark of the hotel.
The room is fairly ordinary. Most people would spend the day outside of the room - at the medium-sized swimming pool especially. Also the lagoon area itself is quite shallow for the children and adults alike.
One thing I noted was that other beach activities were fairly expensive - a 1/2-hour rental of jet ski could set you back about RM60. The hotel also boasts a few tennis courts just in case you wish to get away from the waters.
Room rates are affordable. Corus Paradise may even offer below RM100 per night on weekdays. I've known of some periods where the hotel can get really full because this beach town is the quickest holiday destination for Kuala Lumpur city dwellers.
REVIEWED ON: A few times since 1996
MY VERDICT: An OK resort for a quick family gateway from the city. Nothing too special.
