LOCATION:
Well within the compound of the Oriental Village. Very close to the Langkawi Cable Car terminal which heads to the top of Gunung Mat Chinchang.

DESCRIPTION:
Nestled at the foothills of the majestic Gunung Mat Chinchang, the hotel is somewhat hidden in the midst of various gift shops, restaurants and pastry cafes in the Oriental Village. The entrance fronts a nice Japanese garden and pond. The architecture is quite interesting, although one could not help but feel a bit Disneyland-ish about the whole thing. The room is standard, nothing much in particular worth mentioning, but the TV channel selection is pretty good.

Since the Oriental Village complex is located quite far from everything, one may have to settle with the food and beverages offered within this place. The selection is not too bad, although it can burn a hole in your wallet. Fancy a Japanese treat? Mizumi Restaurant is right in front of Oriental Inn. For a little taste of Thailand, Krathong Restaurant can cure your craving for a while. Then there is also Dolce Vita Cafe pastry shop which has an authentic French sidewalk cafe to it.

There are about 30+ standard rooms, plus 3 bigger suites, individual a/c unit, telephone, color TV, mini bar, coffee making facility, hair dryer.

MY VERDICT:
Not too bad. Quite far from everything and one may get tired of the Oriental Village complex pretty quickly
