LOCATION:
At Tanjung Malai, some 30 minutes away from Kuah town, Langkawi.

DESCRIPTION:
The resort has an interesting Mediterranean concept - of brightly colored buildings, open cafés, waters everywhere and intricate architectures. Nonetheless, what intrigued me the most was how "abandoned" one could feel here.

When I was there, there was barely anyone around - not a single soul walking at the beautiful boardwalk by the sea. Most of the cafés were closed. And from what I heard, the Star Cruise rarely came to the resort. (The resort concept is that passengers from the cruise liners will disembark here and spend a night or two). Anyway, I did notice a fairly extensive renovation and repair works that were being done around the resort, which may explain why.

MY VERDICT:
A let down. Interesting Mediterranean concept, but I hope the renovation or whatever they are trying to do, should be completed now and I may re-visit the resort again.
