LOCATION:

On the busy street of Jalan Sultan Ismail, next to Wisma Genting.

DESCRIPTION:
Undergone 2 name changes before the hotel is re-branded into a Crowne Plaza International chain. It was a Hilton and a Mutiara Hotel before.

The hotel looked old from the outside. The lobby and lounge were nothing too outstanding to mention about, but the room was fantastic! I stayed in the Grand Deluxe room, which was spacious as well as tastefully furnished with a comfortable bed, a flat-screen TV, a study table, sofa sets and a huge bath room. The rain shower was heaven-sent, especially if you just had a rough day at work. My room had a side view of the Petronas Twin Towers and the surrounding high-rise buildings. It was very spectacular especially at night when the city skyline gleams with lights, creating a euphoric urban landscape.

A medium sized swimming pool is accessible from the main lobby. It had a superb view of downtown Kuala Lumpur. A new spa overlooking the pool was under construction during the time of my stay. The hotel hosts a highly reputable Clark-Hatch gym.

A fabulous hotel to stay. Superb internal deco.
