LOCATION: At Jalan Abdullah Ibrahim in Johor Bahru. Please note that the property has been re-branded and was previously known as Puteri Pan Pacific Hotel.
DESCRIPTION: A huge hotel with some 500 guestrooms. Just like my previous experience with Pan Pacific Glenmarie (now known as Holiday Inn Glenmarie), I was only allocated a standard room instead of the much celebrated Pacific Floor which tends to feature a lot in their print ads.
The standard room is rather basic and looks quite old. There are IDD phone, air condition, TV with cable channels, mini bar, coffee and tea making facility, personal safe box and hair dryer.
Common facilities outside your bedroom include swimming pool, a Clark Hatch gym, saunas, Jacuzzi, steam room, tennis court, spa and relaxation lounge.
The Puteri Pacific boasts 3 fine restaurants of different themes. Selasih Restaurant caters for Malay cuisine, Paolo Mediterranean Restaurants provides a touch of adventure from the said region with its seafood galore offerings such as lobsters, fish, prawns and oysters, along with the must-have pizzas and grilled BBQ meat. The Hai-Tien-Lo is the hotel's Chinese restaurant, which acclaims a modern setting to savor the finest Chinese cuisine.

MY VERDICT: An OK hotel. More like an average business class hotel.
